This summer, legendary rock and roll ensemble George Thorogood & the Destroyers will head out on the road for another run of shows, this time dubbed the Good To Be Bad tour, all geared around commemorating the 45th anniversary of the group’s formation and original recording of its first demo in 1974.
In addition, the band will be continuing its charitable work for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society along the way:
The group is beginning their fifth consecutive year of supporting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) by donating $1 from each ticket sold on their “Good To Be Bad: 45 Years of Rock” tour to LLS. They will also continue donating 100% of the net proceeds from the sale of their LLS-branded Destroyers shirt to the organization.

This ought to be a great time for fans of Thorogood’s timeless, classic rock and roll to experience the live show up close — as it’s really the only thing he’s ever thought about doing with his life, as he told Rock Cellar in 2013:
It took the right instrument, the right guys to play with, and the right materials to kind of put it all into place. I never entertained thoughts about doing anything for a living other than playing music.
