Buddy Guy Premieres the Smooth ‘Blue No More,’ Featuring James Bay

On June 15, Buddy Guy will remind us all that The Blues Is Alive And Well when he releases his new studio album. Previewed recently with Guy’s excellent cover of the Sonny Boy Williamson standard “Nine Below Zero,” Guy has now premiered another song from the LP.

Titled “Blue No More,” the song features a guest appearance from James Bay, and can be heard below:

Buddy Guy will add to his robust list of career accomplishments when he receives the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Americana Music Association in the fall.

As for The Blues Is Alive And Well, the collaboration with Bay is one of the album’s special guests — the others include Mick Jagger, Jeff Beck and Keith Richards. Here’s the album’s track listing:
