Slightly Stoopid’s ‘Everyday Life, Everyday People’ Out 7/13 — Stream the Relaxing ‘If You Want It’ ft. Alborosie

San Diego reggae/rock band Slightly Stoopid have earned a reputation over the years as one of the hardest-working bands on the scene — and on July 13, the band will release Everyday Life, Everyday People, their ninth full-length album to date.

For this record, Stoopid worked with some special guests in the studio, among them Ali Campbell of UB40, G. Love, Chali 2na of Jurassic 5, Yellowman, Don Carlos Alborosie and Sly Dunbar of Sly and Robbie.

The first song premiered from the album is titled “If You Want It,” and its laid-back dub style (and guest appearance from Alborosie) ought to definitely appeal to fans of “2AM,” the band’s 2008 single that hit it big on alternative rock radio.

Pre-orders for Everyday Life, Everyday People are up now at PledgeMusic. Here’s the album’s track listing:

1. “Glocks”
2. “Stay The Same (Prayer For You)” feat. Don Carlos
3. “Fire Below”
4. “If You Want It” feat. Alborosie
5. “Too Late”
6. “Livin’ In Babylon” feat. Yellowma
7. “Higher Now” feat. Chali 2na
8. “Legalize It” feat. Ali Campbell
9. “No One Stops Us Now / Nobody Knows”
10. “Talk Too Much” feat. Don Carlos
11. “Punisher”
12. “Everyday People” feat. G. Love

Slightly Stoopid will embark on a big summer tour with special guests Stick Figure and Pepper — both veteran acts on the scene as well.
