Billy Corgan is a busy man. Even as Smashing Pumpkins go through another quieter period, the band’s principal member continues forging ahead with new material.

On Friday, Corgan’s new Rick Rubin-produced record, Ogilala, was released under his full name, William Patrick Corban. He previewed the record in August with a song called “Aeronaut,” a sweeping, piano-driven composition that more or less encapsulates the album as a whole.
