Buzz: Is AC/DC Planning a New Album with Axl Rose on Vocals?

The combination of Axl Rose and AC/DC seemed an odd fit, but the infamous Guns N’ Roses vocalist proved himself a capable fill-in for longtime singer Brian Johnson during some of the band’s 2016 world tour dates.

And now, according to rumors, the pairing could perhaps result in a new AC/DC album — with Rose on the microphone.

The word comes from Australia’s Noise11, which stated the following in a review of Guns N’ Roses recent Melbourne concert, a gig that featured Angus Young in a surprise guest appearance:

Angus guest starred at the two Sydney shows last week and treated Melbourne to the same formula. Axl Rose fronting AC/DC was controversial and if you didn’t like that combination you will be horrified to learn there is an album on the way.

This is quite a bit of information to drop into the middle of a concert review, but does it have any actual chance of happening? We’ll see…as Mr. Rose is obviously quite busy with his GN’R activities at the moment.

Stay tuned…

AC/DC is done. Just go away, regroup and or call your self something else, just don’t call it AC/DC.

It would mark a new chapter in the band’s recording legacy – & I’ve been listening to it all since their Atlantic albums in the mid-70s – Why not Axl? He knows how to host the party!

Angus! Forget that. AXL doesn`t fit to front ACDC music. He can scream in his own band. WE = ACDC need voice with real MAN, personal charm like Brian.

Who are you do tell Angus what to do ? Same story when Brian joined – People like you screaming at him “Bon Scott Forever” for years. It’s very easy: if you don’t like it do not listen to the music. And then shut up.
