The members of Boston are preparing a new studio album, Life, Love & Hope, for release on December 3rd via Frontier Records.

After longtime Boston vocalist Brad Delp committed suicide in 2007, it might have seemed unlikely that the band would continue recording in the future – but they have.

Update: More details have been revealed regarding the new album. Namely, former vocalist Delp will be heard on the new album, due to how long it’s taken the album to come to fruition. Additionally, vocal duties will also come from DeCarlo,  Kimberley Dahme, David Victor and band founder Tom Scholz.

Said Scholz in a statement:

These are songs from the heart, each of them taking many months of effort to write, arrange, perform and record, always up to the demands of Boston’s harshest critic, me. They have all been meticulously recorded to analogue tape on the same machines and equipment used for Boston’s hits for the past 35 years…I intentionally stayed close to the early Boston style on some of the songs, even using the same amps and instruments; on others I let my imagination run wild.”
