Talking Heads, Blondie, Television, More Slated for ‘CBGB’ Film Soundtrack Album

The upcoming film CBGB, telling the story of the iconic and infamous New York City nightclub, will open in select theaters on October 11th.

Three days before, Rhino Records and Omnivore Records will release the accompanying soundtrack album, CBGB: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack.  Naturally,  the album will be filled with songs and artists closely tied to the club, such as the Talking Heads, the Stooges, the MC5, Television, Blondie, and more.

As Billboard details, Omnivore will release the album as a CD and a special double-LP – and Rhino will also release an extended version of the album digitally.
